School Network - At Home!!!
The Harry Carlton School has now implemented a remote access solution which allows students to access their work from home. Not only does this system give you access to your data, but it also gives you access to the school applications. It is basically like you were at school (without the teachers!!!)
What this means is that you can access any of your work (e.g. Excel files, ProDesktop files, Photoshop files) WITHOUT having these applications installed on your home computer.
All you need to access the school network remotely are:
- A computer with an internet connection (This can be a Windows PC, an Apple Mac or a Linux machine)
- The necessary access rights to logon (Please see the ICT Department to be granted the necessary access rights)
- A client that gets installed onto your pc (you will be prompted to install this the first time you try and logon remotely)
